Cabins in the heart of
Yosemite National Park

A Note from the owner, Garth May.
Our family has made Yosemite National Park our home for over 80 years. And actually we’ve been providing accommodations to travelers for just as long. I was born in Yosemite Valley...in the midst of a blizzard, of course. My life is here, my happiness is this place, my success is defined by the experience of each person I am fortunate to know as my guest. Maintaining vacation homes throughout the year can be challenging. We get everything right in every home about 1% of the time. The rest is communication, and doing our best to make your cabin and our amazing corner of Yosemite feel like home to you. We’ll answer your questions, guide you to the trail along the river, find that something missing in the kitchen, repair or replace the thing that broke, bring you the extra towel or toilet paper - always as quickly as we’re able. I think this year we might even reach the next milestone of success. You know - 2%!
Our Cabins
All cabins are pet friendly (extra flat fee of $35 per pet). Pets cannot be left alone in the cabins unless crated. We can provide pet walking and loving care for $20/hour.

About Garth
Third generation Yosemite son, and torch bearer of Camp Chilnualna in Wawona. Yosemite's best unkept secret since 1933. With 150 years of family experiences in Yosemite, I still find something new worth noticing every day & more than anything I love to share our history and our home with others. Families have made Wawona & Camp Chilnualna a tradition that spans generations. The best neighborhood in town because it's your neighborhood. I am here for you everyday of the year, because I never go anywhere & 6 hours of sleep per night is merely a suggestion. My motto? You see, I've always strived to be an optimist, and was for a long time. It's tremendously hard work because my arch enemy, "the pessimist" is much greater in numbers, and has a terrible weapon we optimists can never fire - it's called "I'm just being realistic" and it's cheating to use it. Anyway I upgraded my motto from "The glass is half-full" to simply "Half-Glass Full". I need so much less than a full glass to feel grateful, and with gratitude we get to live half-glass full everyday. Pessimists can't touch it.
